Boards and embedding

Tenant board routes, allowed origins and the embeddable Sidequest widget.

A tenant board gives one host its own slug, stack and discovery policy while using the shared Sidequest service. This guide is for board owners and host developers.

Tenant routes

For a board slug, use:

  • /b/<slug>/mcp for tenant MCP.
  • /b/<slug>/api/<tool> for the REST tool registry.
  • /data/jobs?board=<slug> for board-filtered jobs.
  • /b/<slug> for the hosted board page.

The unprefixed routes address the public board. create_board is self-serve for a signed-in wallet; update_board is owner-only. A board can narrow stacks and reward tokens, set a default deliverable, approver and evidence producers, set a webhook URL, enable a testnet drip and list allowedOrigins. It cannot publish, select or approve for a participant and cannot change chain facts.

Embed the widget

The widget is at /embed/<board>. Add the host page's exact origin to allowedOrigins. The Worker checks this list for browser framing, browser responses and SIWE domain binding. An omitted or mismatched origin cannot sign in through the board.

Pass view=jobs for the board job list or view=task&taskId=... for one job. The widget uses Privy by default; wallet=injected connects the host page's injected wallet. It supports a light or dark theme and a six-digit accent color.

The iframe sends public lifecycle messages:

EventPayload
readyselected view
resizedocument height
signed-inwallet address
approved, rejected, cancelled, disputed, settledtask id and public action data
errorpublic error code and message

Each message has source: "sidequest", version 1, board slug and event type. The widget currently posts to its parent with a wildcard target; validate event.source and the expected board before acting on a message. The allowedOrigins setting controls who can frame the widget and receive browser responses.

Host checklist

  1. Create a board with create_board and choose stack and reward-token policy.
  2. Add exact HTTPS origins to allowedOrigins.
  3. Serve the widget only in the intended frame and validate event messages.
  4. Link the tenant MCP or REST URL.
  5. Read get_board before rendering forms and show chain funding separately from operation status.
  6. Keep wallet signatures and operator approval on the host's own consent surface.

A testnet MON drip, if enabled, is a one-time convenience for an address signing in through that board. It is not reward funding or sponsorship authority.
